The Service Designer is an internal consultant, working across the whole of the RSPCA to deliver innovative, customer-centric services that support our core business and our whole portfolio of change. By modelling best practices, leveraging advances in technology, data and AI, and providing momentum to solve the most complex of problems you will be designing services that ultimately move us towards the delivery of our Strategy to 2030.
You will continue the ongoing development of the Target Operating Model, bringing together knowledge, experience and external insights, to align with the Strategy and the in-flight change portfolio to deliver the roadmap for implementation.
In addition to Service Design, your activities will also include relevant test & learn activities, the development of business cases, building organisational capability and providing consultancy services to the wider organisation.
You will be a strategic thinker, identifying, absorbing, and assimilating evidence with an open mind and using it to drive growth, course-correct, and, when necessary, make change.
What you'll bring:
To succeed within this role, it is essential that you have extensive experience of organisation-wide service design and implementation, along with demonstrable experience of:
- Operating model development particularly moving from concept to delivery
- Building and establishing organisational capabilities
- Leveraging technology to drive service improvements
- Working with external partners; obtaining insight, learning, benchmarking, and building new partnerships
- Influencing others through clear presentation of work and outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Building enduring relationships with your stakeholders
- Working with uncertainty and change whilst being able to adapt your plans and projects accordingly.
Successful candidates for certain RSPCA roles will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK - We are unable to sponsor visas at RSPCA
Final note from us & good luck with your application!
Due to high interest in some of our roles, we review applications as they are received. This can occasionally result in positions closing earlier than advertised. Therefore, we strongly recommend submitting applications early. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applications after the posted closing date.
We want to ensure we do all we can to give you a positive candidate experience through our recruitment. Whilst we do try to give feedback where we can, sometimes due to receiving high levels of applications, this may not always be possible
We are building the future of a diverse Society, and our priority is to support animal welfare by finding people from all backgrounds who are committed to our mission. For this reason we actively encourage a wide diversity of applications - in particular from members of minority ethnic groups, and people with disabilities - as these candidates are currently under-represented at the RSPCA. Your transferable skills & lived experiences could make you a valuable addition to our RSPCA Family!
