The role

As a Product Designer in the Customer Tooling team, you’ll lead design initiatives to shape the future of our market-leading tools. Your work will support our B2B users (estate agents and new home developers) and improve the B2C experience for home hunters by driving the development of customer efficiency products and ensuring they integrate seamlessly within our suite of services.

Collaborating with the Product Manager in Customer Tooling, you’ll help shape the future of our core products. You’ll own the research and design processes, applying your creative intelligence and skills within a cross-functional squad.

Reporting to the Lead Product Designer, you'll work closely in a design team of 6 within the customer domain. You’ll be based in our Soho London office 2 days a week, with occasional, expensed visits required to the Milton Keynes office.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Extensive experience as a high-performing product designer in an end-to-end role, owning projects through their entire lifecycle, from conception and ideation to delivery.
  • A portfolio showcasing a combination of research, UX and UI skills, clear outcomes and impact on the user and business alike.
  • Knowledge and experience with research methodologies and associated tooling (independently or with support of user researchers). Journey mapping, problem-framing and solving, and running workshops and collaborative sessions are highly desirable and necessary at least at a base level.
  • Systems thinking and an ability to implement established best practices and patterns to deliver outputs of a high standard, creating accessible and inclusive experiences.
  • Strong communication skills, expertise in stakeholder management, and a deep understanding of complex product ecosystems.
  • Maturity and autonomy in managing your time and focus – you can comfortably utilise your skills to craft the vision for your domain, even when navigating some ambiguity.

We’re looking for someone who

  • Can demonstrate commercial acumen and leverage problem solving skills and design thinking in service of business objectives as well as user needs.
  • Can proactively and autonomously seek opportunities for growth, improvement and innovation.
  • Sets the pace and standards for outcomes and outputs.
  • Shows a willingness to gain an in-depth understanding of the product, its end users, and key team stakeholders.
  • Understands the complexity of working within a domain spanning B2B and B2C.
  • Is a good communicator, able to bring stakeholders and peers along with you, and can demonstrate the impact of your work and decisions.
  • Nurtures and manages key relationships within the company beyond your immediate team.
  • Is pragmatic and understands the iterative nature of your projects and can prioritise according to impact and constraints.
  • Cultivates a mindset of continuous growth through actively seeking and giving constructive feedback, with the end goal of achieving good outcomes for the user and business.
  • Is invested in the success of your team and is excited to be pursuing shared goals.
  • Is highly organised and comfortable with a certain degree of context-switching in your day-to-day.
  • Has experience working in the property sector. This is a plus, not essential.
